We heard you and felt the absence! After a year’s hiatus the African American Juneteenth Festival is back with a new name – Black Heritage Juneteenth Festival and renewed commitment. To make it happen we need community support and action as well.
We are asking you to contribute $40.00 or any amount that you are financially comfortable giving toward a goal of raising at least $4,500.00 from individuals. Your support will help to insure that the event takes place and remains free to all.
Donations can be made online via our GofundPage (link above) or checks made payable to Black Heritage Committee/Stone Soup. Stone Soup is our fiscal agent and a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax-exempt organization making all contributions tax-deductible. Please mail checks to Black Heritage Committee, c/o Stone Soup, 4 King Street, Worcester, MA 016010.
The monies will be used to give local and a few regional performance artists a very modest honorarium, to pay for sound, police and park departments, posters, liability insurance, and tents, tables and chairs that will be used primarily to house educational, cultural and other family and children activities. On behalf of the community thank you for your consideration.
